Mixpanel hosts an official MCP server at https://mcp.mixpanel.com/mcp. With it, Andromity can run Mixpanel queries, look up events and properties, and work with dashboards, feature flags and experiments while it changes tracking code.

Sign-in is OAuth in your browser with your own Mixpanel account, and you see only the projects you can already access.

What the agent can do with Mixpanel

  • Run queries and fetch reports (Run-Query, Get-Report).
  • Discover projects, events, properties and property values (Get-Projects, Get-Events, List-Properties, Get-Property-Values).
  • Create and update dashboards (Create-Dashboard, Update-Dashboard).
  • Edit event and property metadata (Edit-Event, Edit-Property).
  • Work with cohorts and metrics (Create-Cohort, Create-Metric).
  • Read, create and update feature flags (List-Feature-Flags, Create-Feature-Flag, Update-Feature-Flag).
  • Read, create and update experiments (Get-Experiment, Create-Experiment, Run-Experiment-Pre-Launch-Checks).

Example prompts

Ask for the work in plain language. Naming the server helps, for example “use the Mixpanel MCP server”.

  • List the events in the Mixpanel project and check that the track calls in this repo's signup flow use the same event and property names.
  • Run a Mixpanel query for daily active users over the last 30 days and summarize the trend in the PR description.
  • Find the Mixpanel feature flag for the new dashboard and tell me where this repo still reads it.
  • Run the pre-launch checks for the pricing experiment and list anything the code in this branch needs to change.

Connect Mixpanel

  1. Ask a Mixpanel org admin to enable MCP under Settings → Org → Overview. New free and growth accounts created after August 1, 2026 have it on by default. Changes can take up to 15 minutes.
  2. In VS Code, open Andromity Hub → MCP Servers → Discover. In the terminal app, open /settings → MCP → + Connect an app. Find Mixpanel and select Connect.
  3. Sign in to Mixpanel in your browser and approve the connection.
  4. Andromity saves Mixpanel to ~/.andromity/mcp.json and connects it.

See Connect an app for how Andromity stores connectors and tokens.

Access and safety

  • You see only the projects you already have permission to access.
  • Org admins can turn MCP on or off in Settings → Org → Overview.
  • Mixpanel also documents service accounts (Beta) with a static Authorization header for automated agents. Add that by hand in mcp.json; Andromity's one-click connector uses OAuth.

In an untrusted folder, MCP servers don’t start at all. Read workspace trust and permission modes for the full model.

Limits to know

  • Mixpanel documents 600 MCP requests per hour per user.
  • Experiments and Feature Flags are open Beta and do not support audience targeting or cohort editing through MCP.
  • Run-Query cannot filter or break down by cohort. Get-Audit-Log is limited Beta and needs organization admin or owner access.
  • EU accounts use https://mcp-eu.mixpanel.com/mcp and India accounts use https://mcp-in.mixpanel.com/mcp. Add them by hand in mcp.json.

Questions

Does Mixpanel have an official MCP server?
Yes. Mixpanel hosts it at https://mcp.mixpanel.com/mcp and documents it in its docs.
Are there EU and India URLs for Mixpanel MCP?
Yes. Mixpanel lists https://mcp-eu.mixpanel.com/mcp for EU and https://mcp-in.mixpanel.com/mcp for India.
Does my Mixpanel org need to enable MCP?
Usually an org admin must enable it under Settings → Org → Overview. Newer free and growth accounts have it on by default.
