CAL.COM MCP SERVER
Connect Cal.com to Andromity with the Cal.com MCP server
Connect Cal.com's official MCP server to Andromity: let your AI coding agent manage bookings, event types, schedules and availability while it works on your code.

Cal.com hosts an official MCP server at https://mcp.cal.com/mcp. It wraps the Cal.com API v2, so Andromity can list and create bookings, manage event types and schedules, and check availability while it works on a scheduling feature.
The hosted server uses OAuth 2.1 and needs no API key, so connecting is a single browser sign-in.
What the agent can do with Cal.com
- Read, create, reschedule, cancel and confirm bookings (get_bookings, create_booking, reschedule_booking, cancel_booking, confirm_booking).
- Create, update, duplicate and delete event types (create_event_type, update_event_type, duplicate_event_type, delete_event_type).
- Read and manage schedules (get_schedules, create_schedule, update_schedule).
- Check availability and busy times (get_availability, get_busy_times).
- List connected calendars and conferencing apps (get_connected_calendars, get_conferencing_apps).
- Manage teams, organization memberships and attributes.
- Read and edit routing forms (get_routing_form, edit_routing_form_fields, edit_routing_form_routes).
- Search the Cal.com docs (search_docs) and call other API v2 operations through the API catalog (find_api_operation, call_api_operation).
Example prompts
Ask for the work in plain language. Naming the server helps, for example “use the Cal.com MCP server”.
- Look up my event types in Cal.com and check that the 30-minute type has the same buffer settings our booking page in this repo assumes.
- Use get_availability to fetch my open slots for next Tuesday, then write a test for the slot-rendering component using that data shape.
- Create a Cal.com event type called Code Review, 25 minutes, so I can link it from the README.
- List my upcoming bookings and find any that overlap with the maintenance window described in docs/runbook.md.
Connect Cal.com
- In VS Code, open Andromity Hub → MCP Servers → Discover. In the terminal app, open /settings → MCP → + Connect an app. Find Cal.com and select Connect.
- Sign in to Cal.com in your browser and approve the connection.
- Andromity saves Cal.com to ~/.andromity/mcp.json and connects it. If you cancel sign-in, nothing is saved.
See Connect an app for how Andromity stores connectors and tokens.
Access and safety
- The agent works through the Cal.com account you approve in the browser.
- Cal.com documents a toolsets query parameter that limits which tools are registered, for example https://mcp.cal.com/mcp?toolsets=bookings,availability. Valid values are profile, event-types, events, bookings, availability, schedules, calendars, teams, organizations, routing-forms and catalog. To use it, add a server with that URL in mcp.json and sign in from its card.
- Cal.com's docs recommend the hosted OAuth server over a shared API key, and say to rotate an exposed key in developer settings.
- Andromity's permission modes apply to every Cal.com tool call.
In an untrusted folder, MCP servers don’t start at all. Read workspace trust and permission modes for the full model.
Limits to know
- The server exposes 72 tools. get_app_link and search_docs are always registered; others depend on the toolsets you choose.
- Cal.com's MCP page does not document rate limits or plan requirements.
Questions
- Does Cal.com have an official MCP server?
- Yes. Cal.com hosts it at https://mcp.cal.com/mcp and also publishes the open-source calcom/cal-mcp repository for running it locally.
- Do I need a Cal.com API key?
- Not for the hosted server, which uses OAuth 2.1. The local stdio server needs a CAL_API_KEY.
- Can I limit which Cal.com tools the agent sees?
- Yes. Add a toolsets query parameter to the URL, for example ?toolsets=bookings, availability, and add the server by hand in mcp.json.
