GRANOLA MCP SERVER
Connect Granola to Andromity with the Granola MCP server
Connect Granola's official MCP server to Andromity: let your AI coding agent search meeting notes, read summaries and pull transcripts for context while it codes.

Granola hosts an official MCP server at https://mcp.granola.ai/mcp. With it, Andromity can look up what was decided in a meeting, read the notes and summaries, and use that context while it works on your code.
Sign-in is standard browser OAuth. Granola supports Dynamic Client Registration, so there is no client ID or secret to enter.
What the agent can do with Granola
- Ask questions about your meeting notes (query_granola_meetings).
- List meetings and meeting folders (list_meetings, list_meeting_folders; paid plans).
- Read meeting notes and summaries (get_meetings).
- Read raw transcripts (get_meeting_transcript; paid plans).
- View screenshots shared in meetings (get_meeting_attachment).
- Check the connected account and switch workspace (get_account_info, switch_workspace).
Example prompts
Ask for the work in plain language. Naming the server helps, for example “use the Granola MCP server”.
- Find the meeting where we discussed the new rate limiting design and implement what we agreed on in the gateway.
- Read the notes from yesterday's planning meeting and list the engineering action items that touch this repo.
- Check my Granola notes for what the customer said about export failures and write a regression test for that case.
Connect Granola
- In VS Code, open Andromity Hub → MCP Servers → Discover. In the terminal app, open /settings → MCP → + Connect an app. Find Granola and select Connect.
- Sign in to Granola and approve the connection in your browser.
- Andromity saves Granola to ~/.andromity/mcp.json and connects it.
See Connect an app for how Andromity stores connectors and tokens.
Access and safety
- Each connection acts as one individual user. Granola MCP has no API key or service account access.
- The agent can reach only notes you own, notes shared with you, and notes in the active workspace. MCP follows the workspace selected in the Granola app.
- Enterprise admins can turn off Meeting transcripts to block AI access to transcripts for everyone in the workspace.
- Andromity's permission modes apply to every Granola tool call.
In an untrusted folder, MCP servers don’t start at all. Read workspace trust and permission modes for the full model.
Limits to know
- Granola cites about 100 requests per minute on average across tools. Limits can change.
- On the Basic (free) plan, MCP covers personal notes from the last 30 days, and some folder, search and transcript tools are paid-only.
- On Enterprise, admins choose which note scopes members get. If none is enabled, members have no MCP access.
Questions
- Does Granola have an official MCP server?
- Yes. Granola hosts one at https://mcp.granola.ai/mcp that lets AI tools query your meeting notes.
- Can the agent read my Granola transcripts?
- On paid plans, yes, through get_meeting_transcript, unless an Enterprise admin has turned off Meeting transcripts for the workspace.
- Does Granola MCP work on the free plan?
- Partly. Granola says the Basic plan covers personal notes from the last 30 days, and some tools are paid-only.
