ATTIO MCP SERVER
Connect Attio to Andromity with the Attio MCP server
Connect Attio's official MCP server to Andromity: let your AI coding agent search records, create notes and tasks, and run reports in your Attio CRM workspace while it codes.

Attio hosts an official MCP server at https://mcp.attio.com/mcp. With it, Andromity can look up the companies and deals behind a feature request, record what shipped as a note or task, and check workspace data while it works on an integration.
Sign-in uses OAuth with your Attio login. There are no API keys to create.
What the agent can do with Attio
- Search, read, create, update and upsert records in people, companies, deals and custom objects (search-records, get-records-by-ids, create-record, upsert-record, update-record).
- Read attribute definitions so the agent knows an object's fields (list-attribute-definitions).
- Create and update notes, tasks and comments (create-note, create-task, create-comment).
- Work with lists and list entries (list-lists, add-record-to-list, update-list-entry-by-id).
- Search meetings, call recordings and emails, including call transcripts (search-meetings, get-call-recording, semantic-search-emails).
- Run totals, averages and grouped reports (run-basic-report).
- Run read-only SQL queries (query-particle-sql), on billing plans that include it.
Example prompts
Ask for the work in plain language. Naming the server helps, for example “use the Attio MCP server”.
- I'm adding a Stripe webhook handler. Search Attio for deals in the Negotiation stage and list which ones mention billing in their notes.
- The signup flow should upsert a company by domain. Use list-attribute-definitions on the Companies object and tell me which attributes our sync code should map.
- Create an Attio task assigned to me to follow up with Acme once this migration is deployed, and add a note describing what changed.
- Run an Attio report of deals by stage so I can check the numbers our dashboard query in this repo should return.
Connect Attio
- In VS Code, open Andromity Hub → MCP Servers → Discover. In the terminal app, open /settings → MCP → + Connect an app. Find Attio and select Connect.
- Sign in to Attio in your browser and approve the connection.
- Andromity saves Attio to ~/.andromity/mcp.json and connects it. If you cancel sign-in, nothing is saved.
See Connect an app for how Andromity stores connectors and tokens.
Access and safety
- The server acts as your Attio user, so the agent has the same workspace permissions you do, and only within your workspace.
- Attio auto-approves read operations and asks for confirmation before writes. Andromity's permission modes apply on top of that.
- You can revoke sessions from your Attio account settings.
- Attio advises using a dedicated Attio login with only the permissions the AI needs, and reviewing write confirmations before approving them.
In an untrusted folder, MCP servers don’t start at all. Read workspace trust and permission modes for the full model.
Limits to know
- Rate limits apply per workspace, by tier: reads 100 requests per second, writes 25 per second, merges 5 per second, search 300 per minute, and semantic search, reporting and SQL 2 per second each.
- query-particle-sql is not available on every billing plan.
- comments can be deleted only if you wrote them (delete-comment).
Questions
- Does Attio have an official MCP server?
- Yes. Attio hosts it at https://mcp.attio.com/mcp and authenticates with OAuth using your Attio login.
- Does Attio MCP need an API key?
- No. Attio documents OAuth sign-in with your Attio login and says there are no API keys.
- Can the agent change my CRM data without asking?
- Attio asks for confirmation on writes, and Andromity's permission modes can ask before write-type tool calls as well.
